Today, I had the privilege of attending the first Neuro North Forum, an inspiring event dedicated to embracing neurodiversity in the workplace. Huge thanks to Jacky Stansfield Smith for inviting me to be part of such an important conversation and for allowing me to share the work that MISSEDABEAT has been doing – including our latest efforts in introducing Bleed Control Kits.
The event, hosted at GLOW Church, was packed with expert speakers, insightful discussions, and engaging workshops aimed at helping organisations create truly inclusive environments. The BELONG Framework® was a key focus, providing practical strategies for businesses to recognise and support the unique strengths of neurodivergent individuals.
✨ Speakers✨ included:
🔹 Jacky Stansfield Smith - IncluScape
🔹 Clemence Harding - Coach Clem
🔹 Emma Morgan - Amazon
🔹 Jason Smith - Mind Your Business
🔹 Ann English - Creative Intrigue
🔹 Alison Stephenson - AAA Caring Caretaker
🔹 Stuart Murray - Murtek (A fantastic supporter of MISSED A BEAT since we first met in August 2024!)
During the day, I had the opportunity to connect with Newton Aycliffe Mayor John Clark and Mayoress Bernadette Clark, sharing the impact MISSEDABEAT has had in the community. It was a fantastic chance to network with like-minded individuals, learn from experts, and be inspired by the passion in the room.
💡 The workshops provided valuable insights into neuroinclusion, focusing on implementing policies that allow everyone to thrive in the workplace.
A massive thank you again to Jacky Stansfield Smith for organising such an incredible event, and to GLOW Church for being fantastic hosts! Looking forward to seeing how these conversations spark real change.
