We’re thrilled to share that Belmont Utd Kestrels U14s are now proudly wearing their brand-new hoodies, generously sponsored by the amazing charity MISSEDABEAT! 🙌

MISSEDABEAT had initially aimed to support the team in fundraising for a portable defibrillator, ensuring it would be available at all home and away matches. However, when parent Dave Burnside learned about the effort, he generously stepped in and purchased the device outright for the team! Thanks to Dave, this life-saving device will now be pitch-side for any emergencies. 💓👏

All players and most parents took part in defibrillator and CPR awareness training, organized by coach Graham Liddle and led by Paul Mitchell, the Lead Trauma Instructor from Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service. This ensures everyone is equipped with the knowledge to respond in critical moments. 🩺⚡ During the team photo, Jake, the team goalkeeper, proudly held the defibrillator while the boys displayed their new hoodies. 🧤📸

A bonus ball fundraiser was also held to support MISSEDABEAT, raising an impressive £430! The prize? A signed and framed Peter Beardsley sports memorabilia piece, generously donated by the charity. The lucky winner was David Callcutt. A massive thanks to Adele Brennan, who took the lead in selling the bonus ball numbers and helped drive this fantastic result! 🏆

MISSEDABEAT’s sponsorship of the hoodies not only provides the team with smart new gear but also helps raise awareness about the importance of having emergency equipment pitch-side. The hoodies proudly display the MISSEDABEAT logo, promoting the incredible work the charity does to ensure communities are better equipped for cardiac emergencies. 💙

Coach Graham Liddle stated:

I would like to say a huge thank you to Dave for the defibrillator donation, to Mark and MISSEDABEAT for the hoodies and their ongoing work, and to everyone who contributed to this incredible effort. Together, we’re making a difference! 🙏⚽💪
