Darlington Under 16 Girls, competing in the Premier Division of the Russell Foster League, have proudly partnered with MISSEDABEATĀ to raise funds for a portable defibrillator, ensuring they have this critical equipment at every game and training session.
Coached by Paul Ross and Adam Cameron, the team travels across the Teesside and North East region, reaching as far as Boldon. They understand the importance of being prepared for emergencies, knowing that cardiac arrest can strike anyone, anytime, regardless of age or fitness.

To fund the defibrillator, the team organized several fundraising initiatives, including a bonus ball drawĀ and generous parent donations, showcasing the power of community spirit when it comes to protecting young athletes.
Gemma Manders, one of the parents, highlighted the significance of this achievement:
āThe defibrillator is a beneficial piece of equipment for any club to have. Hopefully, Iāll never have to use it, but it could save lives at any time, so itās absolutely worth having.ā
Coach Paul RossĀ also expressed his appreciation for the initiative:
āThanks for organizing the defibrillator and the competition. Itās a great piece of equipment to have if thereās ever an emergency. Cardiac issues can happen, and itās great to be as prepared as possible.ā
This initiative perfectly aligns with MISSEDABEAT's missionāa charity dedicated to placing life-saving defibrillators in communities and sports clubs. Since its founding, Over 100 defibrillatorsĀ have been distributed, protecting countless lives across the North East and beyond.
A huge thank you to Darlington Under 16 Girls, their families, and coaches for their dedication. Your efforts not only make football safer but also inspire other teams to prioritize heart health. ā¤ļøā½
