Ash Dunn, originally from Newton Aycliffe, has been following MISSEDABEATĀ from afar while living in New York. But it wasnāt until he made a trip back home for Christmas in 2024 that he truly understood the impact of the charity.
Catching up with the lads at a local Aycliffe football match, Ash found himself less focused on the game and more captivated by Markās passionĀ and the incredible stories of how MISSEDABEAT is saving lives. In a shed of all places, he realized he wanted to be part of this movement.

Being away from home comes with its challenges. For Ash, running became his escapeāhis way of dealing with lifeās ups and downs. The distances got longer, and he discovered he was actually pretty good at it. Now, his goal is to bring MISSEDABEAT to New York and raise awareness for defibrillators at race events.

And who knows? Mark hopes that one day MISSEDABEAT will expand to Scotland, Wales, and maybe even New York, where all of Ashās fundraising efforts can be put into action.
One step at a time, but together, we can make a difference. šš“
