MISSEDABEAT Expands Life-Saving Initiative with Bleed Control Kits

Mark Preston

Following the successful installation of a community defibrillator at the Gestamp Tallent Ltd gatehouse last year, MISSEDABEAT is proud to announce an expansion of its life-saving efforts. Thanks to the ongoing collaboration with Gestamp, the initiative has successfully added Bleed Control Kits to various locations across Newton Aycliffe, including:

  • Gestamp Gatehouse industrial Park

  • Gifts International, Hurworth Road industrial Park

  • Patenson Court, Newton Aycliffe, DL5 4XL

  • The Bridle, Newton Aycliffe, DL5 4TH

  • Chestnut Way, Newton Aycliffe, DL5 7AW

  • Kestrel Court, Newton Aycliffe

  • West Cemetery, School Aycliffe Lane, School Aycliffe, DL5 6QD

  • Cowdray Close, Newton Aycliffe, DL5 4YQ

  • Simpasture Park, Newton Aycliffe, DL5 7GA

  • Tunstall Road, Newton Aycliffe, DL5 7AH

  • Moore Lane Newton Aycliffe

All these Bleed Control Kits have been registered on the GOODSAM website and are fully emergency-ready. We are hopeful that all MISSEDABEAT defibrillator cabinets will have Bleed Control Kits added over the coming months, thanks to support from various companies who have sponsored kits.

This vital project was made possible after a productive meeting facilitated by Stacey Hoggart, Wellbeing Leader at Gestamp. The aim is to ensure that these emergency Bleed Control Kits are readily available in any life-threatening situation. The kits will also be registered on the GODSAM website, which is directly linked to emergency services, allowing for swift response times when every second counts.

Gestamp Tallent Ltd has further demonstrated its commitment to community safety by sponsoring ten Bleed Control Kits, ensuring that this initiative can be implemented effectively and promptly.

Mark from MISSEDABEAT would like to give a special shout-out to the team at Tesco for their continued support—not only for MISSEDABEAT but for all charities and clubs in Newton Aycliffe. Their efforts are making a significant difference in the community.Their efforts are making a significant difference in the community.

To date, 26 defibrillators have been deployed 64 times over the last 12 months. A massive shout-out to all the guardians who work with Mark to ensure that the defibrillators are checked and remain emergency-ready.

MISSEDABEAT continues its mission to make the community safer through the provision of defibrillators and other life-saving equipment. This new initiative will further strengthen emergency preparedness, providing an extra layer of protection for residents, workers, and visitors across the area.
